I've read all the authors you mention - and a lot more. I can't believe you understood those books and yet failed to find this movie impressive.

I suppose it takes all sorts. Perhaps you need a it more empathy and a bit more experience of relationships to feel Sam's pain. I first saw it on a 4 inch screen in the back of an airplane seat and found it rivetting. I've seen it twice more now and see more each time. In years to come, this will be menitoned in the same breath as Blade Runner; also not that popular when it came out... I know I was there. Thanks Mr Jones for a fantastic piece of work and to Mr Rockwell for bringing it to life.

Well... could not disagree more...

To a person who doesn't know 2001 Space Odyssey or hasn't read Stanislaw Lem or Phillip Dick, this all may sound pretty innovative and quite deep. One might even start asking herself question about identity and those sort of things. To me however, it was the same old stuff presented again and again, with no added value whatsoever.

My review here: <a href="http://michuk.filmaster.com/review/moon-a-big-disappointment/" rel="nofollow">"Moon": a Big Disappointment</a>

Cool review. Just saw the film myself last night. Beautifully shot. Understated yet compelling movie with a suitably restrained performance from Sam Rockwell that echoed the right amount of solipcism the plot required. :)
