Apple today announced the release date of their latest OS X iteration 10.5 Leopard on 26th October 2007. Apple have updated the Mac OS X page to include a countdown and more details on the highly anticipated upgrade to their operating system.
So now to decide whether to watch the early adopters struggle with application incompatability and wait for the first updates to fix, or whether to throw caution to the wind and go for it on release day. Probably the latter as I am such an Apple whore!

Haha, I love my iBook though! I took it to HK and used it to access unsecured networks and the internet! Battery life is 4hrs and portable and rugged. Compared to my work laptop, the Acer Ferrari, its less powerful but then it doesnt crash, takes 5secs to resume from standby, and always works. I just have the feeling Leopard will run like a pig on it and I’ll be forced to buy a MacBook
I know, Apple are forever chasing the excellent standard set by MS Operating Systems. We can only dream of one day being able to run applications like Ad-Ware and Spybot etc.
Ah Well maybe one day, until then we will just have to get on with using our macs for what we bought them for in the first place.
Leopold looks like it will be a good release although many features have been nicked off MS. One of the new features are new fonts: Arial Unicode, Microsoft Sans Serif, Tahoma, Papyrus Condensed, and Wingdings. 4 Microsoft fonts! Stacks looks very interesting though.
I’ll still get it for my mac tho!
Cheers for the autoupdate thing too, will put it on when I get a chance!
Me neither, hopefully everything will ‘just work’ once we have upgraded, or maybe we should wait a few weeks until it has been ‘tested’ out in the wild?
Im soooooooo exited ! cant wait.
