Sensi

I very graciously gifted a few victories in Sensible Soccer to Toog this evening, what with him being back from Japan only yesterday, it seemed only fair that I play below par and allow some joy into his tired soul, bless me.

If sensi is your bag, and god knows it’s the best footy game that has ever graced the portable in the spare room, then get yourself down to Maplins and pick up this Arcade Legends re-issue for £19.99, that’s a tenner cheaper than anywhere else, review Here.

Good to have a few jars with Toog (aka hip_priest) in Sutton also, scary to think though that we were drinking in the same pub nearly 20 years ago (The Case is Altered, formerly The Gate)

All we need now is Adams Family pinball and a giro :O)

Kelly H hits the road!!!

**CONGRATULATIONS KELLY**

Kelly Harrison has passed her driving test, well done, marginally better than me (I only took 4 times just to ensure I got it exactly right, that’ll be the Virgo in me.)

Tobias Is Home!!

Snuggled up in his own bed after a nice bath with Skye :O)

Took us 2 hrs to get him after he was bathed and dressed and raring to go, in the end we rolled him up in a sleeping bag and legged it.

He has to take it easy for a while, and will not be going back to nursery until January, but he is very happy to be back.

Peter Sellers?

Just a quicky cause this made me larf hard yesterday.

Simon Mayo had Peter Sallis (Last Of The Summer WIne and the voice of Wallace) on his show yesterday to talk about Wallace & Gromit, they chatted a bit then took a few questions from callers.

The first caller asked if Peter had ever considered doing any more Pink Panther films? What a cock, Mayo explained that was Peter Sellers and the guy hung up, classic!

Tobias Update - Wednesday

Skye and I went to Tobias and Kasey straight frm School today. Not much to say really, everything fine and dandy for coming home tomorrow, not much to say as too much anticipation for tomorrow.

Skye has stayed with her friend Rhiannon for the last threee nights, we can not thank Michele, Nick, Emma and Rhiannon enough for there support and help during this period, also many thanks to Debbie Beamond for her elp and support. It has really meant a lot to us to have such good friends.

Hopefullly Tobias and Kasey will sleep well tonight, and things will move quickly tomorrow morning and we’ll have our family back together again.

Will post some pics up of boys return tomorrow. :O)

Tobias Update - Tuesday

Tobias and Kasey still not getting much sleep, this is due to spasms of pain that he gets regularly due to the catheter (this is normal), thankfully, his surgeon has seen him today again and is very pleased with recovery still, and confident that the catheter will be out on Thursday morning for him to come home!!! Wooohooo!!!!

Can’t wait to get them back home for a well earned rest.

Tobias Update - Sunday

Got back from Hospital this afternoon. Spent Friday and Saturday with Tobias while Kasey came home for a break and to spend time with Skye. Hats off to Kasey, it is a tough slog as he is not sleeping through the night, I was up all night really as he drifted in and out of sleep while dealing with stomach pain and big windypops.

He is slowly coming back to normality however and each day is eating and drinking more, the main thing is we need to ensure he had a lot of fluids to ensure his catheter keeps flowing, is quite heartbreaking when he is such pain to make sure he has a bath twice a day even though he does not want to be moved, and make sure that he takes his medicine, paracetamol for pain is not so bad, but he is rather adverse to the taste of the antibiotics which are obviously very important to hold back potentila infection.

His surgeon is pleased with the way that the procedure went, and comes down quite hard on nursing staff if they are not following the correct procedure for dressing the operation area, and catheter position, so that gives us some confidence in his care.

We read lots of stories, watched some films and learnt his xmas concert songs, he is now sharing a room with another little lad who is also 3 and had a similar op on the same day, they sometimes comunicate with each other by action man walky talkies, so it’s not all boring, but we can’t wait for him to come home, it is soul destroying to see him going through this, and I was only there for 2 days, will be much harder for Kasey who will have racked up 8 days when he hopefully comes home Wed/Thur.

Hopefully he is sleeping better tonight, and Kasey manages to get some sleep also.

Goodnight little boy xxxx Daddy.

Tobias Update - Thursday

Not so good day ended well.

Tobias in quite a lot of pain through the night, spoke to Kasey this morning and it seemed like he may have to go back to theatre. After surgeons registrar came to see him though it was discovered that his catheter was blocked. Thankfully this was easily fixed in the ward, and after a rough morning it appears he is in much better spirits now.

I picked Skye up from school and she had a letter for Tobias from his teachers, he has been chosen to play Father Christmas in the nursery xmas play next Friday. As he may be leaving hosptial next Thursday, it is unlikely that he will be able to do it, but he is very chuffed and excited about it, and has put a smile on his face and put him in much better spirits, he was talkative this evening, and has eaten a bit for the first time in a day or so.

Hopefully he will be feeling much better tomorrow so that I can stay with him while Kasey comes home for a break and to spend some time with Skye, and I get to spend time with Tobias.
